Most of what we build ourselves, we give away openly. Not because we have to – but because open software is more transparent, more secure and more independent.
Why we build on open source
Software decides how a company works, where its data sits and what it depends on. That is exactly why we believe tools this important should be open. Open source can be inspected, adapted and run yourself – it takes nothing away from anyone, it gives control back.
To us open source is not a marketing label but a stance: we want our clients to be able to understand what their software does, and never to end up in a dead end because a vendor raises prices or discontinues a product. Openness creates trust – and trust is the basis of every good working relationship.

Transparency
Every line can be read. You do not have to take our word for what a piece of software does – you can look it up. No hidden functions, no black box.
Security through openness
Open code can be reviewed by many. Weaknesses surface sooner and are fixed sooner – “many eyes” rather than security through obscurity.
No vendor lock-in
Your tools belong to you. The software keeps running without us, can be adapted and operated yourself. You are never dependent on a single supplier.
Independence & longevity
Open source outlives individual companies. The code stays available, forkable and open to further development – your investment is insured against a vendor disappearing.
Community & contributions
Good ideas come from everywhere. Open projects benefit from feedback, bug reports and contributions – the software gets better than one company alone could make it.
Fair costs
No licence fees per user, no artificial limits. You pay for work, operation and support – not for the right to use software at all.
Why we release most of it openly
We could lock our applications away – technically that would be no problem. We deliberately do not. Most of what we build stands on the shoulders of free software anyway: operating systems, libraries, tools, entire platforms. We benefit from that openness every day. Giving something back is a matter of course for us.
Openness also keeps us honest. If anyone can look into the code, we have to work cleanly: on security, on data protection, on quality. And it protects our clients: should something happen to us, the software stays usable, maintainable and can be handed to someone else. Nobody is suddenly left without their most important tool.
Not everything has to be open – but everything that can be open should be.

DNS-Editor CE
Manage the DNS records of your domains conveniently in the browser – clear, fast and without the detour through a hosting panel. The Community Edition is the open variant of our hosted DNS editor: inspectable, self-hostable and open to contributions.
LCM
Linux Centralized Management: all your Linux servers in one view, your rules enforced automatically – SSH-based, with a status indicator and CVE assessment. LCM is fully open source; the enterprise variant adds support and an enterprise repository, at the same feature set.
ORM++
Persistence for Go without a line of SQL: models as structs with tags, CRUD and event sourcing in one library – unchanged on SQLite, PostgreSQL and YugabyteDB.
ollama-agent
Our agent platform for small local language models: it spreads requests across several Ollama servers, picks the right model automatically through a router model and brings a web UI, CLI, skills and MCP support.
